About The Department

Our HR Shared Services team focuses on value creation through enhanced customer service delivery, improved customer satisfaction, and creating capacity within the HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) (e.g. Global Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits etc.) for increased strategic and business focus. We provide internal support for these HR CoEs and the Employee Partner’s focus is to provide Tier 2 support to Franklin Templeton’s employees and leaders in the UK, IOM, and Ireland.

How You Will Add Value

  • Provide guidance and potential solutions to employees and leaders on a variety of policies and procedures, Benefits, Compensation, HR tools, resources, processes, and other escalated inquiries through the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide broad assistance to HR Business Partners to keep HR initiatives moving forward and aligned with LOB goals.
  • Provide solution support to employees and leaders on self-service processes such as Workday and MyFT resources.
  • Provide rollout and implementation support to HR Centers of Excellence (HR COEs) on projects and initiatives.
  • Partner effectively and collaboratively with HR Shared Services, Payroll, and other FT departments to resolve escalated employee inquiries.
  • Proactively look for continuous process improvement opportunities and assist in defining current and future process flows.
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant changes to employment regulations and the best practices in the local market.

What Will Help You Be Successful In This Role

  • Degree in Human Resources.
  • Related experience in HR role, ideally with an awareness of how an effective HR Shared Services model works and strong knowledge of at least one CoE.
  • Must have demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), knowledge of HR systems, ability to exercise judgement while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, and being solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to place high priority on data integrity and security.
  • Ability to build credible relationships, demonstrate good judgement, and build on analytical skills.

Work Schedule & Location

This role follows a hybrid work model based in our Edinburgh office with at least three days in the office per week.
