Here at GXO, we're looking for an enthusiastic HR & Engagement Administrator to join our River Island operation in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the HR Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting the employee lifecycle, delivering best-in-class HR administration, and driving colleague engagement initiatives that continue to make GXO a great place to work. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, improving processes, and bringing fresh ideas to enhance wellbeing, communication, retention, and site culture. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,227.20 per annum, and 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers, changes, and probation reviews
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including interview coordination, offer documentation, and onboarding administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records, always ensuring compliance and audit readiness
  • Support colleague engagement initiatives, wellbeing campaigns, charity events, and CSR activities across the site
  • Produce and analyse people data, reports, and HR metrics while providing first-line HR guidance to colleagues and managers

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience in HR, administration, engagement, or people-focused role
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and the employee lifecycle
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a positive, proactive, and professional approach
