Company Overview

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas. These include airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special air missions, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation. We own the whole stack: designing, building, and operating turnkey capabilities that give our partners decisive, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.

Our operating model is built around three interlocking pillars. The Support Groups provide a global shared-service – spanning people, finance, platform, operations, legal, and engagement. This frees up our Core Groups, who develop and own mission capabilities end-to-end, to focus entirely on delivery. The Market Groups apply a regional lens, ensuring that our agile and adaptable capabilities remain aligned to the wicked problems that matter most to our partners across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.

At the heart of our model is a simple but powerful idea: be a true partner with skin in the game. Our partners need effects, not just equipment. By owning the full stack – from the lab to the field – we are able to drive a continuous cycle of innovation that keeps our partners ahead. It's a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment where talented people are given real responsibility, work on problems that matter, and contribute to an enterprise that is growing quickly and deliberately.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, with facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, as well as Continental Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Position Summary

At Metrea, people are the power behind mission success. We don’t just hire world-class Aviators and technical specialists—we create an environment where they can thrive, grow, and deliver critical effects worldwide.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist (we call it Teammate Support Specialist) to be a trusted first point of contact across a complex, safety-critical, multinational environment. You’ll manage HR administration, onboarding and offboarding, benefits and leave processes, and ensure our people data and documentation are accurate and compliant. This is supporting all our teammates in the UK and Europe, so across many different countries including UK, Sweden, Poland, Greece, and France (as well as a number of others).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll help bring structure to our people processes, build strong communication cadences, and provide proactive, responsive support that keeps things moving as we scale.

This isn’t a typical HR role. It’s an opportunity to be at the heart of a mission that impacts global security. If you’re curious, pragmatic, detail-oriented, and someone teammates can rely on, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries relating to HR policy, process, benefits, and general employment matters across all EU (UK, Sweden, Poland, France, Greece)
  • Manage HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract changes, transfers, and offboarding
  • Administer benefits and leave processes, ensuring accurate records, timely support, and compliance with local requirements
  • Coordinate compensation and payroll-related administration with Total Rewards and Payroll, including reconciliation and query resolution
  • Support compliance requirements including right-to-work, background checks, and security clearance coordination where applicable
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records across HR systems, ensuring data integrity and audit-readiness
  • Support sensitive employee and family-related matters with care and discretion, escalating to People Partners where appropriate
  • Develop clear communication cadences and ensure employees receive timely updates on processes, policies, and changes
  • Standardise and continuously improve HR checklists, workflows, and protocols to enable consistent, scalable operations
  • Partner across People, Legal, Security, and Total Rewards to support employee experience, compliance, and effective resolution of people-related issues

What You Bring

  • Experience in an HR operations, HR shared services, or people administration role, ideally in a multinational or regulated environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment processes and compliance requirements across UK / EMEA jurisdictions. Sweden, Poland, or Greece is highly desirable
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing sensitive, confidential information
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of queries and competing priorities
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes are still being built

Our Firmware

At Metrea, our single core value is Rooted in Humility, and our four cornerstone attributes are Entrepreneurial, Systematic, Discerning, and Over-Deliver. These form what we call our Teammate Firmware. Just like technical firmware connects software and hardware, our Firmware is the constant interface between our mission and our people. It defines how we show up, how we work together, and how we solve complex problems.

Our team Firmware creates a web-like, hyper-collaborative, dynamically hierarchical way of working that helps us adapt quickly, communicate openly, and distribute decision-making to where expertise actually lives. It enables groups to self-organize around hard problems, shift fluidly as priorities evolve, and operate with the trust, curiosity, and discipline required in a complex mission space. This foundation allows us to deliver elegant, effective solutions and uphold our purpose: protecting our precious inheritance.
