Owen Mumford is looking to hire a HR Generalist! Could this be your next role?

As the HR Generalist you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across the business, acting as a first point of contact for employees while supporting HR administration, systems, reporting, and data management. The role will also contribute to key HR technology projects, including Workday and Dayforce integration activities, ensuring accurate workforce data, insightful reporting, and strong data quality standards.

Please be aware this role is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and support to employees while escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and the smooth delivery of HR processes.
  • Produce workforce reports, headcount analysis, and HR metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Support HR technology initiatives, including Workday and Dayforce integration projects, system testing, data migration, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and improve HR data quality through regular audits, reconciliations, and governance activities.
  • Coordinate the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, contractual changes, absence administration, and offboarding processes.
  • Manage the HR shared inbox, respond to employee queries, and coordinate HR documentation and records.
  • Support employee relations activities, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
  • Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and company requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, reporting capabilities, and administrative processes to enhance the employee experience.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • Previous experience in a HR Generalist or similar HR role.
  • Experience working with HR systems, with exposure to Workday and/or Dayforce highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with HR data and reporting.
  • Experience producing workforce, headcount, and organisational reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve system and process issues.
  • Ability to balance recurring operational responsibilities alongside project-based initiatives.
  • Experience supporting HR system implementations, integrations, or data migration projects (Desirable).
  • Experience using reporting tools, dashboards, or data visualisation software (Desirable).
  • Understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) and/or a degree-level qualification.
