The opportunity

We’re currently looking for an HR Generalist to join our HR Business Commercial team and help us deliver agile and reliable HR support across the UK Sales Unit. This role is all about delivering efficient and accurate HR administration across the employee lifecycle, maintaining employee data, driving payroll and supporting benefits processes and providing a high-quality HR service to employees. You’ll be part of the HR Business Commercial team and report to the HR Business Partner UK. The role is based in Bicester, UK. We recognize the value of in-person collaboration and have a 3 days a week in the office policy, but what matters most is having the time, tools and trust to get things done and to enjoy doing them.

The responsibilities

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and accurate HR and payroll administration across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Business Partner UK, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll processes and providing an excellent employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, contractual changes, employee transfers, absence and holiday management, sickness administration and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates within Workday and other HR systems.
  • Coordinate and process monthly payroll data accurately and within agreed deadlines, liaising with employees, managers and the external payroll provider.
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR and payroll queries and providing guidance on policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Complete right-to-work checks and support compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation, including contracts, letters and employee correspondence.
  • Administer employee benefits, including pensions, private medical insurance, health plans and other schemes.
  • Support annual HR processes such as performance reviews, merit reviews, bonus etc.
  • Assist with HR reporting, people data requests, audits and governance requirements.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support a positive employee experience through high-quality, customer-focused HR service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about delivering excellent HR support. You will be comfortable working with data, systems and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Coordinator, People Operations or similar support role.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll processes and employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes and working with employee data.
  • Strong understanding of HR administration and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience using HR systems; Workday experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, combined with a proactive mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.
