About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Support Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in Newport, United Kingdom. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various elements of the employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless HR operations and contributing to our commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and compliant work environment. Your responsibilities will include coordinating employee onboarding activities, assisting with HR administrative tasks, supporting HR programs and initiatives, and maintaining accurate employee records. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in HR functions. Proven experience in HR support or administrative roles is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HR systems, and AI-assisted programs is essential. A proactive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to learn are highly valued traits for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage employee onboarding activities, including issuing offers, conducting background checks, and processing employment documentation through HR systems.
- Facilitate new starter inductions and organize new hire roundtables to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate HR processes and develop these enhancements within HR systems to improve efficiency.
- Assist with daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, managing HR systems, and handling administrative tasks.
- Respond to employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate HR support across various topics.
- Support the management of employee lifecycle events such as leave of absences, maternity/paternity leave, and offboarding procedures.
- Contribute to the execution of annual HR programs and UK-specific initiatives, including wellbeing campaigns, inclusion activities, and community engagement events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.
