Reporting Into: Head of HR

Working Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday)

Working Location: Remote with regular travel to Hull and London occasionally

Salary: £45,000 per annum pro rata

About the Role

As an experienced HR Generalist / Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering the day-to-day people agenda across the Group. You will provide practical, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers and senior stakeholders, including members of the ExCo team, ensuring that people matters are managed consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and company policies. You will take ownership of employee relations matters from initial advice through to resolution, while supporting managers to effectively manage performance, attendance, conduct, and employee wellbeing.

The role will have a strong focus on end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, taking ownership of the recruitment process across the Group and partnering closely with hiring managers to attract and retain high-quality talent.

What you’ll be doing

  • Take ownership of employee relations matters from initial advice through to resolution, ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with company policy and UK employment legislation. Including Grievances, Disciplinary’s, Flexible working requests, etc.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements. Manage and support vacancies through the Group's ATS, TeamTailor, ensuring recruitment activity is accurately recorded and progressed. Support and manage assessment centres etc as required, source candidates directly, through LinkedIn, and beyond job boards.
  • Ensure HR processes are managed consistently and confidentially, in line with UK employment legislation.
  • Onboarding / Exiting: drafting offer of employments, employment contracts, ensure new starters are set up correctly in our HR system, completing employment references, taking part in our induction. Managing exiting, completing exit interviews, and providing insights to the business regarding trends.
  • Completion of adhoc Projects: supporting the team’s projects, as well as taking accountability for personal projects assigned.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee information within the HR system. Ensuring data integrity at all times.

What we’re looking for

  • You will have a confident and collaborative approach to managing ER matters.
  • Excellent understanding of UK Employment law and caseload management.
  • Familiar with HRIS, ATS, and LinkedIn recruiter.
  • You will have great attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
  • You will enjoy working under pressure at a fast pace.
  • You have a working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Have or working towards CIPD Level 5.
  • Working knowledge of Team Tailor and Hi Bob an advantage.
