The Opportunity

People are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a confident and experienced HR Generalist who enjoys the variety of a hands-on role and is excited by the opportunity to shape and influence the people agenda within a growing business.

This is a standalone position, meaning you will be the dedicated People professional for the UK business and the trusted advisor to employees, managers, and senior leaders. You will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, reward, engagement, payroll, and offboarding, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience at every stage.

Alongside delivering operational excellence, you will play a key role in championing and embedding our culture, helping to create an environment where our people can thrive and where our values are reflected in everything we do. You will lead employee engagement initiatives, support our people managers, and act as an ambassador for Turnkey's values across the business. You will also have the opportunity to support global recruitment and people initiatives, providing exposure beyond the UK and allowing you to contribute to our wider people strategy.

This could be an excellent next step for an experienced People Partner or HR Business Partner looking to move into a broader role with greater ownership and autonomy. However, applicants must already have strong end-to-end HR generalist experience and be confident managing a wide range of people matters independently. Success in this role will require someone who is comfortable operating as the sole HR professional, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Expectations of the Role

The role will involve, but is not limited to, the following areas of responsibility:

HR Business Partnering

  • Be the point of contact for all HR queries from managers and employees
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances, providing clear, practical guidance
  • Lead and support the performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning
  • Partner with leaders on reward and recognition, including salary reviews, bonus processes, and promoting a culture of appreciation aligned to company values
  • Coach and support managers to build their confidence in handling people matters day-to-day
  • Review, update, and maintain HR policies in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Keep up to date with employment law to ensure the business remains compliant and consistent

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
