About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing global multi-billion dollar hedge fund, is looking to add an HR Generalist to their expanding London HC function. The hire is a newly created role as a result of growth due to new office openings, leading to a large drive to increase internal capacity to match growth – this particular hire has a specific focus on the firm’s graduate and analyst employee population.

The hire will report to a Senior HR Business Partner and take on crucial responsibilities across the People operations and support the early careers employee population. You will take ownership of onboarding coordination and new joiner performance integration, managing key areas including contract management, liaising with external vendors and stakeholders, and onboarding new joiners across emerging talent and analyst client groups. The firm is growing rapidly and the individual must be able to operate autonomously and in a proactive manner in a fast-paced environment supporting the Senior HR Business Partner with all aspects of the review and promotion process. The hire will take on project work, supporting the Senior HR Business Partner on performance management system improvement, working continuously to enhance onboarding and talent management processes through automation projects, managing the internal talent matrix, and taking an active role in the initiative to upscale and augment the efficiency of the firm’s graduate hiring program. You will also be able to work on projects focusing on L&D strategy development for the fund.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
