Job Purpose
Deliver commercially focused, best practice HR solutions to a diverse client group based in locations across the UK to meet business needs. Responsible for supporting best practice and consistency across all HR areas of organizational development, well-being, resourcing, learning and development, people policy, absence management, reward & recognition, performance management, disciplinaries and grievances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support & drive engagement by contributing to the people plan and delivery of key people initiatives aligned to business objectives
- Coach, counsel and guide managers on all people policy and operational issues, establishing action plans which focus on opportunities to deliver solutions that add value and ensure compliance and best practice
- Coach, support and build capability in people managers to manage the employment relationship effectively
- Contribute to the development of HR strategies and people plan
- Carry out regular data analysis of labour market trends in the locality
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and sharing of best practice and support delivery and embedding of HR change programmes and initiatives
- Develop, improve and implement people policies, processes and practices
- Support global and UK wide projects in accordance with business and HR strategic priorities
- Liaise with the union/employee consultative groups to support a positive employee relations climate
- Support development of diverse and inclusive culture, embed company values and increase employee engagement
- Analyse and produce management information e.g. monthly headcount reporting, turnover, KPIs and metrics
- Maintaining HR systems including LiNK performance management/CPM usage, position changes, talent development initiatives
- Support UK reward, recognition and benefits systems e.g. private medical, company cars, EAP, recognition schemes
- Lead on sickness absence and occupational health referral service working with managers to control and reduce absence
- Co-ordinate UK payroll provision and ensure legal and statutory compliance
- Manage employee data subject access requests and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations
- Input to customer questionnaires to satisfy tender requirements
- Develop clear employee communication and feedback processes
- Leverage best practice from external networks and adapt to local business needs
- Share knowledge and best practice with the wider HR team to build capability
- Regular travel required across UK sites

Qualifications
- Degree-level education and member of professional body and qualified/working towards CIPD level 7
- Demonstrated excellence within an HR Advisor (or similar) role
- Change management experience
- Experience of managing employee relations cases and people issues related to organisational change
- Understanding and application of UK employment legislation, regulation and HR best practice
- Ability to communicate confidently across the business, building strong relationships
- Project management experience
- Experience of HR systems and database management
- Able to effectively negotiate and influence
- Able to analyse information, make and implement suitable recommendations
- Future focused, inquisitive and open-minded; seeks out evolving and innovative ways to add value to the business
- Uses information insights, sound judgement and knowledge in a structured way to identify options, make recommendations and make robust, defendable decisions
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Multi-site experience
