We’re currently supporting a well-established global FMCG business with the appointment of an HR Generalist to provide short-term cover at their busy North Essex site.

This is a genuinely hands-on HR role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the operation and can step into a busy environment and make an impact from day one.

The initial requirement is for around three months. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day HR support across the site, acting as the main point of contact for employees and managers and ensuring the site has consistent, professional HR support throughout the assignment.

The Role

Working closely with the site and wider HR team, you’ll provide practical support across a broad range of HR activity, including:

  • Acting as the main HR point of contact for the site
  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to employees and managers
  • Managing and supporting a range of employee relations matters
  • Supporting contractual changes and queries
  • Handling HR administration and employee queries
  • Supporting payroll-related queries and issues
  • Assisting with training sessions and other people-related activity
  • Supporting managers with HR processes and providing practical guidance
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Managing competing priorities and responding to issues as they arise
  • Ensuring a consistent and professional HR service across the site

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
