DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is thrilled to announce a new Contract Logistics launch in Topoľčany, Slovakia!

We are seeking a people-driven, energetic HR Generalist to join us in building the HR function for a new site from the ground up. As HR Generalist, you will work closely with the HR Manager and site leadership to establish effective, compliant, and employee-focused HR processes that support a successful launch and sustainable growth.

You will contribute to the implementation of HR systems, policies, and ways of working in line with applicable legislation, while providing trusted support to managers and colleagues across the site. Your responsibilities will span onboarding, employee administration, frontline recruitment support, payroll support in collaboration with an external HRS service, and day-to-day HR guidance for both new and existing employees.

Salary range: 26.961 – 33.728 Euro Gross per year*

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of payroll data and supporting documentation to the external payroll provider.
  • Maintaining accurate personnel and payroll records in HR systems, particularly throughout the site-launch period.
  • Preparing employment-contract amendments and ensuring their timely processing, approval, and system updates.
  • Administering employee lifecycle processes, including personnel documentation, employee records, and employment-termination procedures in cooperation with HR Operations.
  • Calculating bonuses, allowances, and other payroll-related entitlements in accordance with company policies and established processes.
  • Coordinating the ordering and distribution of meal vouchers or cards, ensuring accurate and timely employee support.
  • Responding to employee and manager queries on HR administration, payroll, benefits, employment documentation, and related topics.
  • Supporting the implementation of global, regional, and cluster HR policies, processes, systems, and initiatives at the local site.
  • Preparing accurate HR reports and personnel information for the Site Manager, senior leadership, and Europe region or cluster stakeholders.
  • Advising management on personnel administration, employee relations, and day-to-day HR matters within the scope of the role.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, employer-branding activities, and the implementation of HR processes required for the successful site launch and ramp-up.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline would be an advantage.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in an HR Generalist/ HR Administration role, with practical knowledge of core HR principles, processes, employment documentation, and employee lifecycle administration, ideally within a fast-paced industry.
  • Process discipline – Understanding of relevant procedures and documentation requirements, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work accurately with numbers, payroll-related information, and HR data.
  • Experience using attendance-management systems, HR platforms, and other employee-data tools and a confident user of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table, data-analysis functions) being considered an advantage.
  • English proficiency at upper-intermediate level, preferably B2 or above.
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain high-quality results in a dynamic, fast-changing site-launch environment.
  • A supportive, approachable, and service-focused approach, with the ability to build trust and respond sensitively to employees’ and managers’ needs.
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety responsibilities and a commitment to supporting a safe and compliant working environment.
