Job Title: HR Intern

Location: Droitwich
Contract: Starting July 2027, 13-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours/Shift Pattern: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Who is Müller Milk & Ingredients?

Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMI) is the UK’s largest producer of branded and private label fresh milk, cream, butter, and dairy ingredients. As part of Müller UK & Ireland, MMI supplies around 30% of Britain’s fresh milk and operates a nationwide network of dairies and depots.

We work with over 1,300 British farmers to transform milk into a wide range of products, including Müller Milk and dairy ingredients used by food manufacturers and retailers. MMI is committed to sustainability, innovation, and building a better future for dairy—investing in reducing food waste and improving environmental efficiency across our operations.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR while contributing to meaningful projects that impact employee wellbeing, engagement, and development. You’ll be involved in everything from local wellbeing initiatives to talent and career growth programmes — all within a dynamic, award-winning FMCG business.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities Include:

  • HR Records & Reporting: Help maintain accurate HR records and support regular reporting to inform people decisions.
  • Project Management: Lead and collaborate on HR projects, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and with impact.
  • Strategic Support: Contribute to group-wide and UK-specific HR initiatives, supporting key priorities in your area.
  • Wellbeing & Engagement: Play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture through local wellbeing and engagement activities.
  • Succession Planning: Support talent development programmes that help shape Müller’s future leadership.
  • Manager Development: Assist in equipping managers with tools and techniques to lead effectively and support their teams.
  • HR Policies: Help implement HR policies and provide ongoing support to stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work with fellow placement students on a group project, building teamwork and problem-solving skills.

What We're Looking For

We’re excited to hear from university students who are enthusiastic about building a career in HR and making a positive impact. If you’re on track to achieve a 2:1 or above and looking for a placement year full of learning, growth, and collaboration — we’d love to hear from you.

  • Excellent communication skills: Strong written and verbal abilities
  • Inquisitive mindset: Willing to challenge the status quo and ask questions
  • Initiative and teamwork: Capability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Organisational skills: Effective time management and high attention to detail
  • Project management: Experience or aptitude in managing projects
  • Technical proficiency: Competence with Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • Creativity and problem solving: Innovative thinking and solution-oriented approach
  • Research and Analysis: Ability to understand and analyse audience needs
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
  • UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
