Join us as a HR Investigator Officer and take ownership of a varied and complex caseload that directly shapes fairness, trust and accountability across the organisation. You’ll lead investigations into disciplinary matters, grievances, bullying and harassment—ensuring every case is handled with professionalism, impartiality and full compliance with employment law and organisational policy. This is a role for someone who thrives on analytical thinking, structured casework and delivering high-quality outcomes that stand up to scrutiny.
You will manage each investigation from start to finish: planning lines of enquiry, gathering and evaluating evidence, conducting interviews, and producing clear, robust and evidence-based reports. Working closely with the HR Investigations Manager and a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll ensure cases progress efficiently, sensitively and in line with expectations. Your work will support formal hearings, influence decision-making and contribute to a culture of fairness and transparency.
Please note, having significant experience of chairing investigations and hearings is essential and you must be able to demonstrate this.

- Developing structured investigation plans — identifying evidence, witnesses and key lines of enquiry.
- Conducting impartial interviews — gathering accurate, balanced and reliable information.
- Producing high-quality investigation reports — ensuring clarity, factual accuracy and legal robustness.
- Presenting findings at hearings — supporting panels with clear, confident and objective summaries.
- Maintaining accurate case records — ensuring confidentiality, organisation and compliance with data protection legislation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
