HR & Learning & Development Advisor | Sheffield | Hybrid | £40,000 per annum + benefits | Hybrid from Sheffield | Ad hoc travel to client sites
Help businesses develop their people, not just solve their HR challenges.
Are you passionate about helping people learn, grow and perform at their best?
We're looking for a Learning & Development Advisor with a strong HR background to join a growing consultancy supporting organisations across the region.
This is far more than a traditional HR role.
You'll work closely with clients to identify development needs, coordinate engaging training programmes, deliver workshops, create practical learning content and help businesses build stronger managers and more capable teams. Alongside this, you'll continue to use your HR knowledge to provide practical advice and ensure learning aligns with employment law and best practice.
If you enjoy coaching others, facilitating learning and making a genuine difference to people development, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of client development.
You'll become a trusted partner, helping organisations strengthen management capability, improve employee performance and create positive workplace cultures through effective learning and development initiatives.
You'll also use your HR expertise to advise clients on day-to-day employment matters, ensuring learning solutions are commercially practical and legally compliant.
No two days are the same.
One day you could be delivering management training, the next creating learning resources, advising on employee relations or meeting clients to understand their development needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
