At GXO, we're looking for an experienced HR Lifecycle Manager to lead the strategy, performance and continuous evolution of our employee lifecycle service. This is a pivotal leadership role within People Services, helping to bring together two organisations following a large-scale acquisition, while creating a more consistent, efficient and future-ready colleague experience.

Leading a specialist team and partnering with HR, Payroll, HR Technology and Centres of Excellence, you'll drive operational excellence, simplify and harmonise processes, and maximise the value of data and technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of People Services, influence transformation at scale and help build a modern, customer-focused function that delivers real business impact.

Working pattern:

This opportunity is on a full time, permanent basis with a working location of Northampton. We offer a hybrid working set up, with 3 days per week in our UK Head Office in Northampton.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the employee lifecycle service, bringing together processes, ways of working and best practice following the acquisition of Wincanton
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Drive service innovation by simplifying processes, increasing automation and enhancing the colleague experience across the combined organisation
  • Use data, operational insight and customer feedback to improve service quality, efficiency and performance
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, HR Technology and business leaders to embed consistency, influence change and support the future People Services operating model

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Significant experience leading HR Operations, Employee Lifecycle, Shared Services or Service Delivery teams within a complex organisation
  • A proven track record of delivering service improvements, harmonising processes and driving operational excellence through change
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams and creating a culture of engagement and accountability
  • Confidence using data, technology and insight to drive decision-making, improve performance and enhance customer outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple functions to deliver transformation and business change
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SuccessFactors and/or Oracle, together with a CIPD qualification or equivalent experience, would be advantageous
