Location: Ardwick office based
Duration: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
About MCR Property Group
MCR Property Group is a property business of more than 500 people, operating through four specialist companies covering residential, PBSA (purpose built student accommodation), industrial and commercial. Founded in Manchester, the group manages the whole property lifecycle, from acquisition and development through to leasing, operation and asset management. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an HR Manager to lead our people strategy and shape the employee experience across the group.
Responsibilities
- Lead the HR function across all four companies, setting priorities and managing the HR team
- Develop and deliver an HR strategy that supports the group's growth and business objectives
- Advise directors and senior leaders on complex employee relations, organisational design and workforce planning
- Oversee the management of high risk casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, tribunals and settlement discussions
- Ensure the business remains compliant with UK employment law, and review and update policies as legislation changes
- Lead recruitment and retention strategy, working with managers to attract and keep strong talent
- Drive performance management, learning and development, and succession planning
- Use HR data and insights to report on trends and recommend improvements to senior stakeholders
- Lead organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes
- Review and manage all HR processes and procedures, ensuring they remain accurate, effective, and compliant with current employment legislation
- Manage the HR budget, systems and suppliers, and champion a positive, inclusive culture

Requirements

- Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior HR Advisor role, ideally in a large or multi site organisation
- CIPD Level 7 qualification, or Level 5 with substantial relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice
- Demonstrable experience of leading and developing an HR team
- A track record of managing complex casework and organisational change
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to link HR activity to business results
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Confident analysing HR data and presenting clear recommendations
- Sound judgement and a high level of discretion when handling sensitive matters
- Experience in property, construction, hospitality or a similar multi sector business is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work from our Ardwick office
