Job Overview

Are you a qualified HR professional looking for a role which can offer you a variety of strategic and project-based work?

Would you like a role which can offer flexibility to coincide with your commitments outside of work?

We are now seeking a CIPD qualified, experienced HR practitioner to join our HR team.

We are looking for someone who has a generalist HR background, particularly employee relations, to provide the full range of operational HR support to our clinical service teams. You will be a key member of the People Partnering team reporting to the people business partner for your service area and working closely with the wider team and senior stakeholders in this service. It is essential you are able to demonstrate your experience of advising managers on complex employee relations casework, HR policies and organisational change.

As a Trust we are focused on staff development and “growing our own” and can offer you a wealth of both inhouse and external development opportunities.

Your base will be Upton Hospital in Slough, but the role does provide the opportunity for agile working with an expectation that you are able to travel to any site within the trust as & when required to fulfil your role. The rest of your role will be worked from home.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
