Leicester (2 sites) | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hybrid (4 days on site, 1 day WFH depending on business needs)

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded HR Manager to join our Added Value manufacturing operation in Leicester on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a highly visible standalone role, working closely with senior operational leaders and acting as the primary HR lead for the site. You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across employee relations, workforce planning, engagement, change and organisational effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing:
As an HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full people agenda across the Leicester site, including:
- Partnering with senior leaders and managers to deliver practical people solutions.
- Leading employee relations activity including absence, performance, capability, disciplinary, grievance and organisational change.
- Coaching managers to confidently manage people matters and build their own capability.
- Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, agency labour and effective onboarding.
- Leading and supporting restructuring, consultation and organisational change.
- Using people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting site compliance, including the Ethical Agenda and SMETA audits.
- Driving engagement, communication, attendance and accountability.
- Working closely with Payroll, L&D, ER specialists, recruitment and wider HR teams.
- Supporting the transition towards the future Consumer Foods people operating model.

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who can operate confidently and independently in an operational setting and isn't afraid to challenge, influence and make things happen.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant generalist HR experience within manufacturing, food, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong employee relations and change-management experience.
- A solid working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on HR delivery.
- Strong coaching, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with people data and HR systems.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- A full UK driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
