Join Raised In and play a pivotal role in shaping the people, culture and working environment behind an innovative social enterprise and nursery group.
As our HR Manager, you'll help ensure that the teams delivering exceptional early years education have the support, systems and leadership they need to thrive.
We're a not-for-personal-profit social enterprise with a clear mission: to provide the very best early years education while investing in the communities we serve. Every surplus we generate is reinvested back into the communities where our nurseries operate, helping families, community organisations and neighbourhoods thrive.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced HR professional who can help strengthen our people practices, support our managers and build an exceptional employee experience across the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys bringing strategy to life, improving working practices and providing practical support to managers. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our people processes, systems and culture support the continued growth and success of Raised In.
About us
We set up Raised In ten years ago because we wanted to help communities thrive and prosper in challenging times. Through our network of nurseries, we support local families whilst generating income that helps sustain valuable community spaces across Bristol. When our nurseries succeed, our communities benefit too.
The role
Reporting to the CEO, you'll provide operational HR leadership across the organisation, helping translate our people strategy into effective day-to-day delivery. You'll be the go-to HR expert for managers, providing advice, guidance and support across a wide range of people matters.
This is a broad and varied role covering employee relations, HR operations, compliance, reporting, systems management and people development. You'll also line manage our Talent Resourcing & HR Partnerships Manager and play an important role in ensuring our employee experience is consistent, supportive and aligned with our values.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
