HR Manager
Our client, a health and social care organisation, is currently recruiting for an HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Offering a salary of £45,000-£50,000, this hybrid role provides flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, with the remainder of the week based at their Walsall office.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in managing complex employee relations cases, alongside a strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and HR best practice. The client is looking for candidates to be fully CIPD qualified or be working towards qualification.
Duties
- Leading and managing the HR team to provide consistent, practical advice and guidance across all HR matters
- Managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, dismissal, restructure and redundancy matters
- Driving absence management and wellbeing interventions, including Occupational Health referrals, return-to-work interviews and phased returns
- Managing ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims, working with legal advisers to prepare documentation and support proceedings
- Leading and supporting TUPE transfers, acquisitions and organisational change programmes
- Developing HR policies, practical manager guides and management development training
- Creating and delivering management development training to help line managers apply HR policies, procedures and employee relations processes consistently
- Drafting Settlement Agreements where approved and coaching line managers through protected conversations and associated negotiations
- Monitoring HR casework, reporting management information and identifying trends, risks and proactive interventions

Experience Required
- A minimum of two years’ experience managing complex employee relations cases to dismissal level
- Experience advising line managers on a wide range of staffing issues
- Experience managing ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims
- Experience managing large and complex TUPE transfers into and out of a business
- Supervisory or line management experience
- Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR policies, procedures and best practice
- Fully CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
- A full driving licence and willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check

Working Hours
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
