Description
Great People Work Here
We’re looking for people who don’t just come here to get the job done, but who have a real passion for the brand and a desire to do the best job they can. In return, we offer an inspiring package of employee benefits - to show just how much we value you. This role will offer you the scope for growth and the tools to aim high.
Within Twinings, IM is a unique place to work. We are a growing business, going somewhere new together and with more to come in our future than has been in our past. We face big ‘impossible challenges’ every day and we enjoy overcoming them. We accomplish this by leveraging the great diversity of culture and background in our people and breaking down the barriers of narrow thinking. We value curiosity, learning, debate, and challenge. Our people are self-propelled, open-minded, courageous, and natural collaborators.
This role supports the whole of International Markets, in all locations (Andover, Nigeria, India, Italy, and Brazil) which include Finance, Marketing, and Commercial functions. The role-holder has to adapt and be prepared to “get stuck-in” to many and varying needs across the locations and teams.
There is a significant operational element to this role covering the full range of HR activities including: recruitment, coaching, employee engagement, capability, reward, employee relations, organisation development and change, international mobility, talent, and succession management. There is some operational support for UK-based staff, India, and a key HR business partner in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the thinking and own agreed aspects of the market organisational performance plans, to ensure IM can deliver its strategy and performance goals.
- Leading the discussion on performance management across IM and ensure a robust process is in place to understand individual potential, contribution, business impact, and development needs. Translate this to organisational development initiatives, building leadership, team effectiveness, and personal development plans.
- Coaching, supporting, and challenging key individuals as part of their development planning process.
- Delivering key training to the team on our Thrive and great place to work agendas.
- Driving activities that will create a healthy, dynamic, high-performance culture that takes account of local nuances but capitalises on the themes that unite.
- Driving employee engagement and support managers to create an environment that is a great place to work in, leveraging the new employee listening platform. Understand the drivers of engagement and areas for improvement. Bring new ideas to the table that challenge how we think about the future of work for employees and build manager capability to discuss this with their teams.
- Manage development and progression of employees, and understanding of bench-strength, gaps, and succession plans.
- Responsibility for strategic recruitment partnerships and effective implementation of recruitment with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Delivering effective employment relations, compliant with local employment legislation.
- Supporting the HRD on activities to ensure that the IM organisation structure is fit for purpose and any change activities are compliant with all local regulatory requirements.
- Responsibility for being the key HR contact for the operational day-to-day HR agenda for the entire IM Team.
- International Travel as per business needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
