Excellent opportunity as an HR Manager at a well-established premium brand.

Our client is aiming to expand their global business including EMEA, they are recruiting an HR Manager to proactively involve toward this mission. This position is responsible for overseeing overall organizational and human resources matters in close cooperation with the HR team of headquarters in Japan, as well as aligning with the business strategies and initiatives as a team member of EMEA team. Also working together on an equal footing with HR team of their parent company, which receives shared services, and to realize what the company wants to do. This position also requires functioning not merely as an HR administrator, but as a strategic business partner to the EMEA Management. In the short term, when issues arise, the role demands a proactive approach to analyze and propose solutions rather than simply seeking direction. In the medium to long term, the position requires an executive mindset to independently identify organizational challenges and take the lead in driving transformational initiatives. The HR Manager must demonstrate ownership and accountability for building the organizational foundation that will enable the company’s ambitious growth objectives in EMEA.

Job Description

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the overall business strategy and objectives, proactively identifying gaps and proposing solutions before issues arise
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the EMEA Management, proactively identifying organizational challenges and opportunities, and leading initiatives that drive business performance
  • Re-build new HR team starting from scratch, independently designing the organizational structure, capability requirements, and implementation roadmap
  • Anticipate future organizational needs based on business growth plans and market trends, developing forward-looking talent and organizational strategies

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's goals and values, while modelling proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to ensure that the organization has the right talent to meet its current and future needs

Organization & Culture Development

  • Lead organization development, facilitate the growth of the company culture, taking ownership for creating an environment that enables business success
  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

Operational HR Management

  • Plan and monitor headcount and personnel expenses budget
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
  • Implement salary administration (merit, promotion, adjustment)
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with local regulations

Business Partnership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with managers on resource planning and manpower allocation to cope with business growth
  • Support creating an HR foundation for the business expansion
  • Support any other tasks that may be necessary and requested

Reporting & Analysis

  • In charge of submitting relevant HR reports/analyses to management and HQ HR, both on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Proactively monitor organizational health metrics and present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership on a regular basis

Requirements

  • At least 15+ years of progressive HR experience (HRBP, organization development, talent acquisition, HR operation), with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution, with the ability to address and resolve a wide range of HR-related issues in a fair and effective manner.
  • Change leadership experience with demonstrated success in leading organizational transformation initiatives from conception through implementation
  • Experience in retail industries such as fashion (apparel/footwear) and cosmetics is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work hands-on
  • Executive presence and influence with capability to present compelling proposals backed by data and strategic rationale to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders
  • Proactive problem-solver with demonstrated ability to propose comprehensive solutions rather than merely identify problems; capable of presenting multiple options with clear recommendations and supporting rationale
  • Strategic business partner mindset with proven track record of functioning as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, independently setting organizational priorities and driving execution
  • Business acumen with ability to translate business strategy into organizational and talent strategies, understanding the commercial implications of HR decisions
  • Anticipatory thinking with ability to foresee challenges before they become critical and implement preventive strategies

Conditions

  • Salary - £75-85,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Location – London
