A key part of the role will be coaching and influencing managers, balancing employment legislation, organisational risk and policy requirements with the charity's values and its commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and compassionate working culture.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• CIPD qualification or an equivalent HR qualification
• Significant experience of employee relations case management and organisational change processes
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and experience providing pragmatic HR advice to senior leaders and managers
• Experience working collaboratively across both strategic and operational HR matters
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies, practices and systems
• Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with managers and senior stakeholders
• An understanding of the issues affecting refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK
• A demonstrable commitment to anti-racist practice and to removing barriers for people with lived experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• High levels of discretion, accuracy and attention to detail
