About The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a prominent global manufacturing business located in South Molton, Devon. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the company's people strategy within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support, developing and mentoring the HR team, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving employee engagement, managing complex employee relations cases, and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing HR, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a strategic mindset to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with significant experience as an HR Manager within a manufacturing setting. A CIPD qualification or membership is desirable but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, and experience in employee relations, coaching, and stakeholder management. Proven leadership skills in mentoring and developing HR teams are crucial. Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and HR systems such as Oracle HR, is required to effectively manage HR processes and data. Prior experience supporting operational and manufacturing leaders will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the site leadership team to deliver strategic and operational HR initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Leading, coaching, and developing the on-site HR team to ensure effective service delivery.
- Driving employee engagement and performance management initiatives.
- Managing complex employee relations cases and providing expert HR advice to managers.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition activities to attract and retain top talent.
- Supporting succession planning, workforce planning, and capability development to sustain organizational growth.
- Managing compensation and benefits programs.
- Overseeing performance review processes.
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR policies.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Supporting health, wellbeing, and occupational health initiatives.
- Collaborating with managers and employees to resolve people-related challenges.
