HR Manager – Law Firm
London | Hybrid Working
Our client, a leading London law firm, is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join its People and HR team.
This is a broad HR management role requiring someone with strong experience working specifically within a law firm and a clear understanding of the demands, culture, and stakeholder environment of the legal sector.
Please note: Previous HR experience within a law firm is essential for this role. Applications from candidates without law firm experience will not be progressed.
The role will include:
- Providing strategic and operational HR support
- Advising partners and senior managers on people matters
- Managing complex employee relations cases
- Supporting performance and talent management processes
- Overseeing recruitment and workforce planning activity
- Coaching and supporting managers
- Managing HR projects and initiatives
- Using HR data and reporting to support decision-making
- Working closely with senior HR colleagues across the firm

We’re looking for:
- Strong HR management experience gained within a law firm
- Previous experience operating at HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or similar level
- Experience advising partners and senior legal stakeholders
- Strong employee relations knowledge
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement
- Ability to balance strategic HR activity with hands-on operational responsibilities
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
