Job Description
Reporting to the Country Manager, your objective will be to manage all HR aspects of our events. You will lead two key functions: People and Planning. This dual role requires a proactive individual to drive both employee relations and operational planning.
On the People aspect
You will oversee the recruitment, development, and management of employees while ensuring a positive and effective company culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead recruitment for both permanent and 0-hour contracts, managing the full employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding, with a focus on attracting individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are adaptable to the unique, fast-paced nature of the business.
- Maintain and update the HR database with accurate employee records.
- Develop and maintain a suite of documentation templates such as employment contracts, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with statutory requirements.
- Advise management and employees on discipline, grievance, and capability matters, ensuring consistent application of Arlettie policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Showroom Manager to ensure all HR processes, including absence management and employee relations, are effectively managed.
- Oversee the handling 0-hour contract queries, recruitment sessions, onboarding, and record maintenance, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy.

On the Planning aspect
You will oversee the operational side of workforce management, ensuring staffing needs are met efficiently for all events, while maintaining accurate security planning and managing other critical operational aspects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Showroom Manager and Account Managers to ensure staff rotas and working hours are accurately planned and communicated to the team.
- Implement and manage employee planning to ensure adequate staffing levels for each event, balancing operational needs with cost management, utilising software such as ‘Workforce’ for efficient scheduling and tracking.
- Work closely with an external payroll department, ensuring all payroll information is up to date, accurate, and processed in a timely manner.
- Provide management reports relating to HR metrics, including rota costs, payroll costs, and staff lists.
- Reporting directly to the Country Manager.
- Liaise with external partners to coordinate security for events, creating rotas, ensuring a safe environment for staff, and safeguarding showroom products.
- Collaborate closely with the French and Italian HR teams to ensure Arlettie’s standards are upheld and consistently maintained across all locations.
- Organise regular staff events to celebrate team achievements and milestones.
- Manage the various objectives of individual teams to provide a cooperative and energised dynamic across the business.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of extension if needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, you have gained initial experience in a recruitment agency or in an HR role, ideally within the retail, hospitality or other fast-paced, people-intensive environments.
You have hands-on experience in workforce planning, scheduling and staffing coordination, and are comfortable managing changing priorities and operational needs.
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and genuinely enjoy working with people. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you are also comfortable working with numbers and managing large volumes of information with accuracy.
Adaptable, proactive and solution-oriented, you thrive in fast-paced environments. You are persistent, reliable and fully committed to delivering on your responsibilities and contributing to the success of the team.
Excellent command of Excel is essential, as well as strong organisational and analytical skills.
