Lead People. Drive Culture. Make a Difference
We're looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our People & Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small HR team, provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, and help shape a positive, inclusive workplace culture across the organisation.
You'll play a key role in delivering an excellent HR service, partnering with managers and senior leaders to support performance, wellbeing, engagement and organisational success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, developing and motivating a small HR team.
- Providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and organisational change cases.
- Coaching and supporting managers to confidently manage people issues.
- Ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices align with employment legislation and organisational values.
- Using workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting People & Culture projects and helping deliver our people strategy.
- Championing equality, diversity, inclusion and a positive employee experience.

About You
You'll be a confident HR professional with strong employment law knowledge, experience leading teams, and a proven ability to handle complex and sensitive people matters. You'll be comfortable influencing at all levels and balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking.
You'll bring:
- Experience in an HR Manager role
- Experience managing and developing HR teams.
- Strong employment law knowledge and practical HR expertise.
- Experience advising managers and senior leaders on high-risk and sensitive people matters.
- Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience within social housing, public sector or another regulated environment would be an advantage.
