Are you an HR leader who thrives on building strong relationships, influencing leaders, and delivering expert employee relations support across multiple fast-paced sites?

Do you enjoy driving engagement, leading change, and shaping people strategy, while coaching managers and championing continuous improvement? If so, join us as our HR Manager (multi-site) covering multiple contracts!

In this dynamic, multi-site HR Manager role, you’ll be at the heart of the action—partnering with leaders, coaching managers, and delivering expert HR support across a busy transport operation in the North/North-West. From handling employee relations and shaping people strategy, to driving engagement, leading change, and supporting exciting projects like TUPE and new business wins, no two days will be the same. Role Overview

This is a full time, permanent position with contracted hours of 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 17:00 – flexibility for business needs required).

This role requires travel and comes with jobs need car (covering North/North-West).

Pay, Benefits and More

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts

What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Build strong relationships and become a trusted HR partner, influencing and supporting leaders across multiple sites
  • Drive engagement, people strategy and continuous improvement to boost performance and culture
  • Lead on employee relations, coaching managers and ensuring best practice, compliance and consistency
  • Support change and growth; playing a key role in projects, recruitment, and developing future talent pipelines

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Proven HR experience with strong expertise in employee relations and complex case management
  • Confident in UK employment law, offering practical, tailored advice to managers
  • Skilled in building relationships quickly and working effectively in unionised environments
  • Organised, proactive and resilient—able to manage busy workloads and drive results independently
  • Tech-savvy HR professional with strong IT skills (MS Office, Oracle) and a passion for developing people
