HR Manager - Policy & Transformation
Are you an experienced HR professional looking to step into a more strategic, project-focused role? We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished HR Manager - Policy & Transformation to join our People Team on a 12-month contract.
Working closely with the HR Lead - Policy & Transformation, you will play a key role in delivering Trust-wide people initiatives, reviewing and developing employment policies, supporting Employment Tribunal casework, and leading transformational projects that support our People and Culture Strategy.
You will also analyse workforce data and trends to help support strategic decision making, support the delivery of manager and staff training on people policies, working closely with HR Business Partners and wider People teams to successfully implement change across the Trust.
About You
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong operational HR background who is ready to broaden their experience in policy development and workforce transformation.
You will be CIPD Level 7 qualified with substantial HR experience and a strong understanding of employee relations, employment law and organisational change. Knowledge of NHS Terms & Conditions, Agenda for Change and the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme is highly desirable. You will be analytical, highly organised and confident managing complex projects and sensitive casework.

Join us and help shape policies, drive improvement and deliver change across the Trust.
- Support the delivery of a wide range of Trust-wide projects, including undertaking best practice research, collating and analysing benchmarking data, and making suggestions to inform decision making and progress.
- Work with the HR Policy and Transformation Lead on the rolling HR policy review process, including researching current employment legislation and NHS terms and conditions, drafting revised policies and making suggestions for changes or improvements to policies and procedures.
- Support the development of new policies and processes, making recommendations and suggestions based on relevant legislation, NHS Employers guidance, external research and benchmarking.
- Support the HR Policy and Transformation Lead with collating the information required to respond to Freedom of Information requests and Data Subject Access Requests, drafting responses as required.
- Support the HR Policy and Transformation Lead with the coordination of Employment Tribunal casework, including collating documentary evidence, arranging meetings with witnesses, monitoring the timetable associated with each case to ensure that all deadlines are met.
