Our platforms connect thousands of auction houses with buyers in over 170 countries, powering more than $15 billion in annual sales. Through innovative online auction technologies, we help auctioneers expand their reach, boost efficiency, and maximize value—while giving bidders unrivaled access to rare and specialized items.

Role Overview

We’re a business navigating a period of real change, and we know that lasting progress is only possible when the people foundations are solid. We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who takes genuine pride in getting things right. Someone who understands that brilliant HR is built on consistent, best-practice processes, data-backed decisions, trusted relationships, and a deep commitment to the experience people have at work.

This is a hands-on manager role with true end-to-end ownership of the employee lifecycle across our UK and EU population of around 100 people. You’ll be the senior HR point of contact for the region, partnering closely with managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle; from the moment someone accepts an offer to the day they leave, and everything in between. You’ll also line manage our HR Administrator based in Germany, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR support across both markets while developing them into an increasingly capable HR professional. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR manager with strong knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, payroll administration, and HR operations, who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and leading a direct report, in a fast-paced, change-rich environment.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Line manage, coach, and develop the HR Administrator (Germany), setting clear objectives and supporting their ongoing professional development
  • Oversee day-to-day HR administration and query handling in UK (and supporting Germany), ensuring consistency with UK/EU processes and local legal requirements
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews with the HR Administrator, providing feedback and identifying development opportunities
  • Act as the escalation point for more complex HR administration, employee relations, and compliance matters

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Own and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation across the UK and EU
  • Ensure compliance with UK and German labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements, working with local legal advisors as needed
  • Lead audits, reporting, and HR metrics tracking for the region
  • Own policy creation, implementation, and updates across the UK/EU
  • Oversee visa applications and sponsorship compliance for sponsored employees

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
