Location: South West London - Hybrid
Salary: Up to £35,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Officer to join our client, a social housing charity. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide high-quality HR administration and advice across the full employee lifecycle, helping to deliver an efficient and professional HR service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, contractual changes, and leavers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, systems, and personnel files.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment checks.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll information and maintain payroll records.
  • Produce HR reports and workforce data, including absence and recruitment metrics.
  • Support employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and probation cases.
  • Coordinate learning and development activities and mandatory training.
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and data protection requirements.

About You

  • Previous HR experience supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • Experience using HR systems (Cascade HR desirable) and payroll administration.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
