Are you an organised, customer-focused HR professional who thrives in a busy environment?

We're looking for an HR Officer to join our People Services team, providing a responsive and accurate HR and Payroll service to colleagues and managers across Midland Heart.

This is a varied, fast-paced role where every transaction matters. From supporting new starters and processing contractual changes to resolving HR, Payroll and Pension queries, you'll play an important part in making sure our colleagues receive a great service throughout their time with us.

What will you be doing?

As a HR Officer, you'll:

  • Complete end-to-end HR, Payroll and Pension transactions across the employee lifecycle, including new starters, leavers and contractual changes.
  • Respond to HR, Payroll and Pension queries, providing clear information and signposting to colleagues and managers.
  • Triage requests and take ownership of queries, ensuring priority issues are dealt with quickly and escalated where appropriate.
  • Process and check HR and Payroll information, using system reports and manual calculations to maintain accurate colleague records.
  • Produce HR and Payroll correspondence, including contracts, references, change documentation and employment checks.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across People Services and the wider organisation to deliver an efficient and reliable service.

Our ideal candidate

You'll be organised, approachable and comfortable working in a busy environment where you'll need to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Your CV will clearly demonstrate:

  • Level 3 CIPD, CIPP (Technician or above), or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume administrative or transactional environment, processing information accurately to deadlines.
  • Experience using a range of IT systems to maintain records, process transactions and support customer or colleague queries.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Bath Row office in Central Birmingham. As this is a highly visible role supporting colleagues and managers across Midland Heart, you'll need to be present in the office for at least 3 days of the working week with the remainder to be worked from home.
