Location: Aztec West, Bristol
Salary: up to £40,000
Contract: Permanent
Working arrangement: Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days at home) with some travel for site visits.

About the Role
In this newly created position, due to growth, we are seeking a CIPD-qualified HR Officer to provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across the business.
Reporting to the HR Lead, you will support a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy development and HR administration. You will help ensure that HR practices are consistent with UK employment legislation and recognised good practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for managers on HR and people matters, providing advice on policies and processes.
- Support disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance cases, ensuring alignment with company policies and employment legislation.
- Work with line managers to monitor and manage employee absence.
- Coordinate recruitment advertising and candidate communications, supporting interviews as required.
- Lead the preparation of employment offers and the onboarding of new starters.
- Prepare employment contracts, contract amendments and other HR correspondence.
- Support the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data, ensuring documentation is retained in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- Produce monthly HR metrics, sickness and holiday reports.
- Review and update job descriptions in collaboration with line managers.
- Support HR projects and other activities as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- CIPD Level 3 qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
- Experience supporting employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
- Experience interpreting and applying UK employment legislation to HR policies and practice.
- Experience maintaining and using an HR system.
- A business-focused approach to HR, with the ability to advise and influence managers and senior leaders.
