Role Overview

Overseing the day-to-day functions of the HR Department. Key point of contact for managers and employees seeking support, advice and guidance. Ensures that HR processes, systems and documentation are completed accurately.

Act as a liaison between employees and management by addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment. Responsible for standardised end-to-end HR processes, systems and documentation and managing local HR issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and operate standardised accurate end-to-end HR processes, systems and documentation.
  • Own, deploy and manage HR Systems (e.g. Teamtailor, Simployer, Time & Attendance, Docusign).
  • Oversee the recruitment process, through Team Tailor, including job postings.
  • Oversee employee journey to include onboarding, reviews and offboarding processes.
  • Monitoring employee performance, attendance and sick leave at the company level to identify any trends and actions required.
  • Deploy, monitor and facilitate appropriate wellbeing programmes. Including overseeing the Employee Benefits and Rewards Program administration, data and reviews (e.g. Medicash, Healthcare, Life Assurance).
  • Organise training sessions and professional development opportunities for Line Managers relating to HR processes, tools and people skills.
  • 1st line support for Line Managers where HR required on employee relations including formal disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Train and mentor HR Administrator/Coordinator (reports to HR Officer – Cornwall).

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Line Management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring effective management of multiple priorities.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Self-starter with an ability to keep focused on the result and what they need to do to achieve it.
  • CIPD level 5.
  • A satisfactory DBS check will be required.
