HR Officer

Up to £34,000 p.a.
Onsite in South Leicester

Loom Talent are currently partnering with an engineering/manufacturing business with a headcount of c100 employees across two sites in Leicester and Birmingham.
They are looking for a HR Officer to join them on a permanent basis reporting into the HR Manager.

This business has recently gone through an exciting period of change along with some site growth, and therefore alongside the day to day there will be some exciting incoming projects to be involved in.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers throughout the recruitment process, from taking role briefs and advertising vacancies to coordinating interviews and making offers to successful candidates.
  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters, supporting them through formal processes, meetings, and best practice while building their confidence in managing people issues.
  • Coordinate the onboarding experience for new starters, including delivering site inductions and ensuring a smooth transition into the business.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support the day-to-day administration of the HR function, ensuring all documentation is completed efficiently and confidentially.
  • Manage and utilise HR systems to produce reports, support data accuracy, and provide guidance to employees on system processes and functionality.

  • Look into site turnover, partner with managers, and execute exit interviews to understand what can be done to improve retention.
  • Revamp of the recruitment and onboarding process - they do currently have processes, but they do need some streamlining.
  • Manage employee engagement survey - reporting on findings and establishing a plan of action based on the results.
