Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HR Officer for their Warrington site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business and wants to take ownership of HR at site level, while still benefiting from the support and expertise of an established wider HR team.

This is a broad role offering exposure across employee relations, absence, recruitment, engagement, performance, HR systems and wider People initiatives. For someone looking to continue developing their HR career, there is also genuine opportunity for the remit to grow over time.

The role

Working closely with the Group People leadership team and site management, you will:

  • Act as the key HR contact for the Warrington manufacturing site
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers across HR policy, employment law, and best practice
  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and other complex people issues
  • Lead on attendance management, including short and long-term absence and return-to-work processes
  • Build trusted relationships with managers, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice
  • Support recruitment across the site, including onboarding and induction
  • Support performance improvement and employee development initiatives
  • Contribute to employee engagement, retention, and talent initiatives
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and people data
  • Produce HR information, KPIs, and reports
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and business requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and Payroll
  • Contribute to wider People projects, organizational change, and continuous improvement
  • Support the ongoing development of HR systems and processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
