Are you an organised and people-focused HR professional looking to develop your employee relations experience in a supportive and forward-thinking environment?

We are seeking an HR Officer to join our Human Resources team, providing a professional and responsive service to managers and colleagues across the College. This is a varied role where you will support employee relations activity, provide first-line HR advice and guidance, coordinate casework, and help ensure our HR processes are delivered efficiently and compliantly.

About the Role

Working closely with HR Business Partners, you will also contribute to workforce reporting, people data analysis and HR improvement initiatives, helping to inform decision-making and support positive employee experiences across the College.

You will have experience working in an HR environment, including providing advice to managers and supporting employee relations processes. You will be highly organised, customer-focused and able to manage competing priorities, with strong IT skills and a sound understanding of HR best practice. A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential, together with a willingness to continue your professional development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
