HR Officer | Nottingham


dSb Recruitment is partnering with an established consumer brand on the appointment of an HR Officer to join its growing People function.

The Company

A well-established consumer business with a strong presence in the UK and an established customer base. The company operates across multiple areas of the business, including head office and operational teams, and offers a collaborative environment where people play an important role in its continued development.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Officer will take ownership of day-to-day HR operations and act as a key point of contact for managers and employees across the business.

This is a varied generalist role, combining employee lifecycle administration, employee relations support, and recruitment coordination. You'll play an important role in ensuring HR processes run effectively, while contributing to the ongoing development of the People function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, contract changes, employee records, and leavers.
  • Providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Supporting employee relations casework, including documentation, investigations, and meeting coordination.
  • Coordinating recruitment for a range of roles, alongside managing the onboarding process.
  • Maintaining accurate and GDPR-compliant employee records and HR documentation.
  • Supporting benefits administration, health and safety coordination, and policy reviews.
  • Assisting with wider HR projects and continuous improvements across the People function.

About You

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent practical experience in a generalist HR environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing employee lifecycle processes and supporting employee relations matters.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident working independently across a varied workload.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365. Experience with HR systems such as BrightHR or similar would be beneficial.
