HR & Onboarding Officer

Salary: £34,200 to £38,000 per annum for 35 hours per week.

Location: Bruce Kenrick House, 2 Killick Street, London N1 9FL

Workplace Type: Hybrid

Our HR function is evolving into a confident, proactive partnership model.

We are integral to delivering high quality, efficient and compliant HR services, supporting a positive, values-led colleague and candidate experience across the organisation. The HR and Onboarding Officer plays a key role in delivering this. As part of a customer-focused HR service, you will ensure colleagues and candidates experience a smooth, professional and compliant journey, for the whole employee lifecycle.

What the role is all about

You do not need housing sector experience to succeed. What matters most is your ability to deliver high-quality HR support, provide clear and accurate advice, and manage processes efficiently with strong attention to detail: including recruitment administration, onboarding, first-line advice and core HR processes.

How you’ll make a difference

You will contribute to organisational success by:

  • Delivering a first-class, customer-focused HR service that is timely, accurate and compliant
  • Ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding experience for all new starters and internal movers
  • Providing clear and practical HR advice that supports managers to make informed decisions
  • Supporting compliance with statutory and organisational requirements across all HR activities

Your impact will be seen through a seamless onboarding journey, high-quality HR support, improved manager confidence and a positive colleague experience.

How you’ll do it

  • Deliver end-to-end onboarding processes, ensuring candidates are set up for success from day one
  • Support recruitment activity and work closely with talent acquisition and induction teams to meet business needs
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks (e.g. DBS, Right to Work, visa sponsorship and other statutory requirements) are completed accurately and on time
  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and colleagues, resolving queries efficiently and effectively
  • Manage a range of lower-level HR casework, applying sound judgement and ensuring consistency
  • Produce clear, accurate correspondence and maintain high-quality HR records and data
  • Support organisational change activities, audits and compliance requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
