We are recruiting for an HR Onboarding Officer to join our Onboarding Team, based in our Norwich office. By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a valued service in a department at the heart of government and be part of a collaborative, dedicated HR team.

About the Team

The Onboarding Team is a friendly, supportive and hard-working team based in our Norwich office. They care deeply about what they do and take pride in delivering a high-quality service to customers. The team works closely with a range of HR operational teams, including recruitment, employee lifecycle, security vetting, IT and Oracle systems.

The team sits within the wider Resourcing and Reward branch in HM Treasury’s People and Capability function. This function supports the department to attract, develop and retain the people it needs to deliver the government’s priorities.

The branch is responsible for end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, alongside key corporate priorities such as redeployment, early careers programmes and the annual pay and reward cycle. Its work spans everything from large-scale recruitment campaigns and outreach to pay policy, pay gap reporting and employee reward frameworks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
