Responsibilities
Your new company
A specialist insurance organisation is seeking an HR Operations Assistant to join its People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment where HR plays a key role in supporting business growth, operational excellence and employee experience.
Your new role
Reporting into the HR leadership team, you'll support the delivery of a high-quality HR service across the employee lifecycle, with responsibilities including:
- Maintaining and updating employee records within the HR system
- Supporting monthly payroll processes and liaising with external providers
- Producing regular HR reports, MI and workforce analytics
- Assisting with onboarding, employee changes and leaver processes
- Supporting compensation, benefits and annual salary review activity
- Responding to employee and manager HR queries
- Assisting with HR projects, system enhancements and process improvements
- Supporting policy reviews and ensuring compliance with employment legislation
- Contributing to audit activities and maintaining HR documentation
- Working closely with stakeholders to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across HR operations

What You'll Need To Succeed
- Previous HR Operations or HR Administration experience
- Experience working within financial services, insurance, regulated or professional services environments
- Strong HR systems experience, ideally including HiBob or a similar HRIS
- Exposure to payroll administration and employee data management
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
