Role Overview

Are you an organised and process-driven HR professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a highly motivated HR Operations Assistant to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation within a London-based professional services environment. This role offers excellent exposure to HR processes and operations, with strong potential for career development.

About the Role

As an HR Operations Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational and administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle. From onboarding to offboarding, you'll ensure that processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. Acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers, you'll provide guidance on policies and procedures while maintaining oversight of day-to-day HR activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with data, and has a passion for delivering high-quality HR support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage administrative tasks across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, probation reviews, training administration, and references.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR queries, providing accurate guidance and escalating complex matters when necessary.
  • Maintain and update the HRIS system (e.g., BambooHR), ensuring all employee records are accurate, secure, and compliant with data protection regulations.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc HR reports to support decision-making and highlight trends or risks.
  • Administer UK employee benefits and support international benefits coordination alongside senior HR colleagues.
  • Handle visa-related administration, tracking right-to-work documentation and liaising with external advisers where required.
  • Support compliance activities such as employment status reviews (e.g., IR35) and regulatory obligations (e.g., SMCR requirements).
  • Assist with internal HR initiatives, events planning, and internship programme coordination.
  • Monitor the HR inbox, responding promptly to queries while triaging issues effectively.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
