Zendbox is a fast-growing, tech-led eCommerce fulfilment and distribution business in Kent. We help ambitious brands scale by delivering smart, reliable warehousing and logistics solutions - and we're now looking for an experienced HR Operations Assistant to support our next stage of growth.
About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious HR professional to support our Human Resources, Operations and Resource Management teams. This role plays a key part in the smooth running of our warehouse operation by leading recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, absence management, workforce planning and overall people development.
Sitting at the heart of a fast paced, high growth ecommerce warehouse, you will help drive performance, quality and efficiency while supporting the development of our operational teams. - Lead recruitment for warehouse and operational roles.
- Manage end to end onboarding and induction processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation.
- Support training plans, skills development and performance review cycles.
- Support managers with disciplinary, grievance and capability cases.
- Lead absence management, including monitoring attendance, generating reports, conducting return to work meetings and supporting managers with long term or repeated absence cases.
- Respond to day to day HR queries from employees and managers.
- Assist with HR reporting, compliance tasks and payroll support.
Performance, Resource and Operational Support
- Monitor performance data and work with managers to achieve operational targets.
- Produce labour planning using existing software and forecasts aligned to operational demand.
- Ensure timesheet accuracy and support scheduling requirements.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on communication, wellbeing and accountability.
- Uphold safety, compliance and best practice across the warehouse environment.

Requirements
- Experience in a fast paced, high volume warehouse, fulfilment or operational environment.
- Previous HR, people management or resource planning experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, coach and support managers.
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
- Experience managing absence processes, including return to work meetings and attendance improvement plans.
- Ability to analyse people, performance and labour data to support decision making.
- Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for people development, culture and continuous improvement.
