Enlighten Learning HR Operations Internship
Who are we?
Enlighten Learning is a growing education startup providing tailored one-to-one online tuition across GCSE and A-Level subjects. Our tutors are carefully selected, high-achieving students from some of the UK’s leading universities who combine strong academic backgrounds with the ability to connect with and guide younger students through their educational journey.
We take a personalised approach to learning. We speak with every client to understand each student’s specific needs, goals, and personality before matching them with a tutor who we believe is best suited to them.
Enlighten Learning started as an idea between two friends who had seen first-hand the impact of Covid-19 on students’ education. Since then, we’ve quickly grown into a small team based in Central London, supporting students and tutors across the UK. Despite how far we’ve come, we’re still very much at the beginning of what we want to build.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we’re looking for an Operations Intern to join our team and play a leading role in growing and supporting our tutor community.
About the role
We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident, and proactive to manage the day-to-day recruitment, onboarding, and support of our tutors.
You will screen applications, conduct tutor interviews, and make final decisions about who is accepted. You will also be the main point of contact for tutors who need help with applications, onboarding, payments, or other operational processes.
Whilst this is an entry-level role, you will have much more autonomy than in a typical internship, with meaningful responsibility and real decision-making authority. You will work closely with the Co-founders, and your ideas and input will be valued beyond your core responsibilities.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role is ideal for a current university student, recent graduate, or early-career candidate who is interested in operations, recruitment, or education and wants to gain hands-on experience in an early-stage startup environment.
What will you be doing?
As an Operations Intern, you will:
- Own the tutor recruitment process from end to end, from screening applications and identifying strong candidates to conducting interviews and making final decisions on who is accepted as a tutor.
- Keep our recruitment operations organised, maintaining accurate application, interview, and hiring records while managing our tutor job postings across different recruitment platforms.
- Monitor our tutor needs across different subjects, identifying areas where availability is low and taking action to strengthen our tutor pipeline where needed.
- Be a main point of contact for our tutors, providing support across applications, onboarding, payments, and other day-to-day operational issues.
- Take ownership of problems as they arise, resolving routine issues independently and escalating more complex ones to the Co-founders with a clear summary and suggested solution.
Time Commitment
This is a part-time, remote position requiring up to 10 hours per week. The role offers a high degree of flexibility, allowing you to manage most of your work around your own schedule.
