About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist (EMEA) to join our high-performing EMEA HR team. This role provides comprehensive HR support to employees across 9 countries within the EMEA region, ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

As a key member of the HR team, you will be the first point of contact for employees through the Ask HR platform, managing HR queries, supporting leave administration, maintaining HR systems, and ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and company policies. This role offers broad exposure to international HR operations in a fast-paced and dynamic global organisation.

Location: Reading, UK
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contract administration, employment changes, and offboarding.
  • Support employees throughout the employment journey while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in HR systems.

Ask HR Support

  • Act as a primary contact for employee queries received through the Ask HR platform.
  • Provide timely and accurate guidance on HR policies, processes, benefits, and employment-related matters.
  • Ensure employee enquiries are resolved within agreed service levels and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Leave Administration

  • Manage and administer various employee leave programmes across the EMEA region, including:
    • Maternity Leave
    • Paternity Leave
    • Parental Leave
    • Adoption Leave
    • Compassionate/Bereavement Leave
    • Sick Leave
    • Other statutory and company-provided leave arrangements
  • Ensure leave cases are handled accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with local legislation.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain HRIS data and supporting systems (WorkDay) to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs for multiple EMEA countries.
  • Support employee benefits administration and manage third-party benefit platforms.
  • Generate HR reports and provide data as required for audits, compliance activities, and business needs.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance employee experience.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and documentation.

Recruitment Support

  • Provide recruitment coordination support when required, including:
    • Interview scheduling
    • Candidate communications
    • Offer and onboarding administration
  • Supporting talent acquisition activities across EMEA

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with employees, payroll, and the global HR team.
  • Escalate complex HR matters where appropriate.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business to support organisational objectives.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in an HR Operations, HR Advisor, HR Coordinator, or HR Specialist role.
  • Experience supporting multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and leave administration.
  • Strong customer service and employee support skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting EMEA countries.
  • Previous experience working with an HR ticketing system or Ask HR platform.
  • Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS.
  • CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards qualification).
