HR Operations Specialist - German Speaking

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HR Operations Specialist - German Speaking based in United Kingdom.

This is a remote HR operations role supporting employees and clients throughout the employment lifecycle across multiple European countries.

You’ll help manage onboarding, employee changes, HR administration, and day-to-day employment matters while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role combines operational execution with customer-focused problem solving in a fast-paced international environment.

You’ll work closely with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Product, leadership, and external partners to deliver seamless HR services.

Your ability to balance employee and client needs with local employment requirements will be central to your success.

The position also offers opportunities to improve processes, strengthen operational consistency, and contribute to broader HR initiatives.

You’ll join a distributed, collaborative team where ownership, communication, and continuous development are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Support HR operations across assigned countries, managing onboarding and employee lifecycle activities while serving as a key point of contact for clients and employees.
  • Manage day-to-day HR queries and employment matters, providing timely, accurate, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Apply country-specific employment requirements and internal processes to ensure HR activities remain compliant and consistent.
  • Identify potential compliance or operational risks and escalate complex matters to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Product, leadership, and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of HR services.
  • Execute HR processes accurately and efficiently across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining a high standard of employee and client experience.
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardisation, knowledge management, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support HR reporting, audits, administration, and operational projects that contribute to the effectiveness and growth of the function.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Lifecycle Management, HR Advisory, or a similar client-facing HR role.
  • Good working knowledge of employment law and HR practices, with the ability to manage onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, and day-to-day HR operations.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, compliance requirements, and business objectives in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and German.
  • Experience in an Employer of Record, global mobility, payroll, or international HR environment is a plus.
  • Experience supporting multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
  • Additional European language skills and knowledge of employment law are advantageous.
  • Highly organised, customer-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple teams and countries.
