ABOUT US

EDC was established in 2003 and thanks to our quality-driven approach to engineering and ethos, we have grown during a period when most companies in this sector have struggled. We have continued to increase our workload and deliver quality and innovative engineering solutions.

As pioneers in the design of low-energy, high-performance buildings and systems, EDC fully supports the importance placed on sustainability and welcomes the challenges this presents. We are the first BIM Level 2 Certified Consultancy in the UK and Ireland and deliver projects from our four offices in Ireland – Cork, Limerick, Galway & Dublin, our UK office based in London and our Istanbul Office in Turkey. EDC has also seen significant recent expansion overseas in the African market.

OUR MISSION

Committed to delivering excellence in MEP & sustainability services where we can add positive impact to the environment and our society.

OUR VISION

To be recognised as the UK and Ireland's leading experts in sustainable MEP engineering, known for excellence in delivery, innovation, and a commitment to a resilient, environmentally responsible future achieved by putting our people first and investing in their continuous development.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

EDC is growing — and we're looking for an HR Operations Specialist to join us at an exciting stage in that journey and help us support our people as we continue to grow. This is a role for someone who is ready to take ownership, make things happen and help shape the next stage of our HR operations. This newly created role has real breadth and plenty of scope. You'll work across HR systems, employee lifecycle, learning, process improvement, automation, and AI, with the autonomy to spot opportunities and turn good ideas into better ways of working. It's an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to accelerate their HR career, build their expertise and have a visible impact in a growing business. If you're naturally curious and always looking for a smarter way to work, we want to hear from you.

  • Optimise and lead BambooHR use: getting under the bonnet of the system to understand its functionality and capabilities, ensuring it is configured to support the needs of the business, employee data is accurate and well maintained, HR changes are processed efficiently, and insightful reporting enables informed people decisions.
  • Deliver a seamless employee journey from offer to onboarding: partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and key stakeholders to ensure pre-employment checks, documentation, BambooHR setup and onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and streamline employee lifecycle processes: ensuring key people activities are delivered consistently, efficiently and with a strong focus on employee experience.
  • Champion Absorb LMS across the business: getting to grips with the platform's functionality and capabilities, managing users, course creation, enrolments, curricula, and learning records, and using its features and reporting to support our learning and development strategy.
  • Shape and continuously improve HR operations: reviewing existing processes, identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen how we work, and introducing practical improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
  • Drive smarter ways of working through technology and automation: identifying opportunities to reduce manual administration, exploring AI-enabled solutions and other tools, and using your understanding of systems to turn ideas into practical improvements.
  • Develop a clear HR Operations toolkit: creating and maintaining practical SOPs, guidance and process documentation that enable consistent and effective ways of working across the business.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for HRIS and LMS support: responding to queries with a solutions-focused approach, taking ownership through to resolution, and knowing when to escalate.
  • Turn HR data into useful insight: producing accurate reports and information from BambooHR and other HR systems to support workforce planning, people management and informed decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across the business: working collaboratively with employees, managers, and colleagues to deliver a responsive, professional, and positive HR service.
  • Bring ideas and energy to the wider HR function: contributing to new initiatives and helping us continually evolve how we support our people as EDC grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
