Your new company
We're supporting a well-established education organisation with the appointment of an experienced HR Organisational Change Adviser. This is a hands-on role supporting a significant organisational change programme. Working closely with the HR Director and senior leaders, you'll help turn agreed plans into practical HR activity, covering consultation, workforce planning, organisational design, policy development and employee communications. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, anticipate what needs to happen next and keep activities moving through to completion. It would suit someone who enjoys the practical side of change and is comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a sensitive and evolving environment.
Your new role
- Supporting the delivery of organisational change projects.
- Helping to develop and implement workforce transition plans.
- Coordinating the HR activity required to implement agreed changes.
- Preparing consultation documents, briefing papers, reports and project materials.
- Managing formal and informal employee consultation processes.
- Guiding managers and senior leaders through organisational change and consultation.
- Supporting workforce modelling, staffing reviews and organisational design activity.
- Helping to evaluate and develop roles, responsibilities and team structures.
- Reviewing HR policies, processes and employment practices.
- Supporting the review of contracts, terms and conditions alongside the HR Director and external advisers.
- Drafting employee communications, FAQs, presentations and briefing materials.

What you'll need to succeed
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification or above, or equivalent practical HR experience.
- Hands-on HR experience of organisational change, including changes to roles, structures, responsibilities or working arrangements.
- Experience of preparing documentation and supporting formal employee consultation.
- Confidence advising managers on the HR and employment implications of change.
- Experience of drafting HR policies, procedures, guidance and employee communications.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and employee consultation requirements.
- Experience of organisational change within education, the not-for-profit sector or another complex organisation.
- Previous involvement in a merger, organisational integration or significant transformation programme.
- Experience of reviewing HR policies
