Location: Colchester, Essex (full-time, office-based)
Salary: Up to £32,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Full UK driving licence and access to own car essential
Our client is looking for an organised and detail-focused HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team in Colchester. You'll provide day-to-day HR administration and support the monthly payroll process, making sure employee records are accurate and staff queries are handled promptly and professionally. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full employee lifecycle administration
- Maintain accurate employee records on the HR system and personnel files
- Collate and process monthly payroll inputs
- Check payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Administer absence and holiday records
- Carry out right-to-work checks and support pre-employment screening
- Respond to employee queries on HR and payroll matters
- Support managers with HR paperwork and meeting notes
- Handle confidential information in line with GDPR

About You:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an HR administration role
- Working knowledge of payroll is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Professional, approachable and discreet
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car is essential
